You gave them longer than the required 10 minute grace period... I'd have left.
Last time I was "required" to remain after a night shift (off at 0730)to "meet" with HR and my manager I was booked to meet them at 0800. 0815 - 9 am I napped in our coffee room at time + 1/2, and still no one showed up. At 1000 I submitted for 4 hours of OT when my manager waltzed in (she stayed late the day before and took time in lieu of)and rebooked the meeting.
THAT SUCKS WORSE THAN STAYING HOME WITH A STENT FOR TWO WEEKS BECAUSE THE FIRST ONE FRIGGIN COLLAPSED AFTER 2 YEARS. I WANT A REFUND! YOU WONT NEED THE LUCK- ALTHOUGH YOU MAY WANT TO TAPE THE BRASLOW SOMEWHERE ON YOUR BODY!

I love working 3 12 hr shifts in a row and being called to come in for OT the next night before I even get home from the last shift.
hell hath no fury like a tired nurse...
