The surgeon told you he wouldn't be able to operate for a few days--because he wants to make sure you don't have an infection in there. Which means you need to stay in the hospital so we can give you IV antibiotics and make sure you don't have an infection in there. "I'll keep it clean and come back on Monday!" is not a good option.
