My name is Craig Hannah and i would like to show you my personal experience with Ativan.
I have taken for 6 years. I am 37 years old. GREAT FOR INSOMNIA......Great for Manic stages of Bi-Polar..It's really is the only drug I can take without any side effects..I cannot even take asprin without feeling it..I have OCD and have severe sensitivity to meds, this one is great.
Side Effects :
None.....Miracle drug...onset of 20/30 minutes, peak of 1 to 3 hrs...it will erase your memory if u take it in large doses...made that mistake once..Been on and off of it since 2001. I don't get addictive to it. I only take .05 2 x a day for controlling High Blood Pressure, Anxiety and IBS..I sometimes can get away with breaking the 0.5mg down into 4 equal doses.
I hope this information will be useful to others,
Craig Hannah
OK...Thanks for the info! Anyone else find this amusing?
In other news, it's my birthday! Today I'm celebrating by going to the dentist and then to our financial planner to find out if our tiny investment portfolio has crapped out. Two of my very favorite things. And then I have to write a paper. Fun.
Can anyone tell me why my sidebar is flashing on and off like a Christmas light?

Happy birthday!
Sidebar isn't flashing for me.
Also, can't even take Aspirin without feeling it? But Ativan has no side effects?
Craig, let me introduce you to another diagnosis: schizophrenia.
"The aspirin's touching me. Make it stop."
Oh, and Happy Birthday :)
Happy birthday! If you celebrate too hard, you could probably just take some ativan to get ride of that headache...I've heard aspirin has some wicked side effects.
I was wondering why the sidebar was flashing. I thought you just really wanted to get our attention!
The flashing is caused by a "blink" command in your entry "Status Dramaticus", in the line :-
"YOU LEFT AN UNCONSCIOUS PATIENT just LYING on a stretcher!"
Lose that "blink" and all should be well.
Annoyingly, the comment software won't allow me to put angle braces around the word "blink", so I've no idea how you managed it.
I wouldn't swear to it, but I think it may be related to your post "status dramaticus".
When I view your page source, I see the word "blink" inserted between her statement that "you left an unconscious pt just lying on a stretcher", and your statement "Mary, you were not unconscious." However, that doesn't show on your published blog page. It also seems to be where the blinking stuff begins.
Not sure why it carries over to the sidebar, but you might want to edit your post and remove the "blink".
I'm a real amateur, though, so this is just a guess...
I always look forward to reading your blog - I'm recently out of direct pt care, and still appreciate hearing of life in the trenches.
Happy Birthday!!! I should have known good people like you come in Libra constellation! (like me 2).
Ativan has no ill effects, huh? No it just takes away your ability to cope with reality. Just don't run out of it....because that's when the FUN really begins!
Happy Birthday!!
Happy Birthday from a Lurker!
My daughter's birthday is also October 2nd. She just turned 18 and good grief that makes me feel old. I'm the parent of an adult!
Thanks!
Thanks for all the birthday wishes AND especially to those of you who helped me with my blinky problem.
I forget you can't put stuff in brackets or it will show up in weird ways.
I wonder what happens if you put words like "teleport, "write my term paper," and "make me a sandwich" in brackets...

You get a cardboard tasting sub from the future???

Happy Birthday!
No side effects, such as it will erase your memory if u take it in large doses... Made that mistake once.
That certainly wouldn't be a side effect. How does he know he only had this problem once? Is he so OCD that he keeps a journal of everything he does? Does he twitter and not recognize some of his stuff? Maybe he experiences fugue states.
At least it seems to have fixed his OCD and mania. Now he almost never leaves unrelated comments, demonstrating his lack of understanding of pharmacology, on blog posts.
