The single DUMBEST Triage Complaint

A young woman in her mid-twenties comes in. Complaint?
I cut the tip of my finger.
On Sunday.
No it's not bleeding.
No, there's no swelling .
No redness. No drainage or ooky stuff either.
It doesn't even really hurt.
Why am I here? Because my friends and coworkers told me I should come to the ER to get it looked at. That you would put something on it to cover it.

I gave her a Band-Aid.

(oh, BTW: her coworkers? All doctors. None of them practice medicine. They're all consultants at some kind of consulting firm.)

There is a reason why they don't practice medicine and consult. It has nothing to do with hours, pay, regulations, or insurance companies.

It's because they are educated way beyond their intellect.

Dorckters as opposed to Doctors.

I bow down to you and your supremely inane triage complaints.

In my next life I want to come back with 75 less IQ points, big breasts and a beautiful face. Think of everything I could get away with and not even realize it!

Either that or a pampered house cat. Same difference.

Wow. Just wow.
Do you think the "doctors" put her up to it as some sort of joke?

Heh. We had one brought in by ambulance because of a fever of 100 degrees. She called her friends/family, and they told her she was going to have a seizure.

Paramedics tried to counsel, but didn't work. Doc saw her, gave her Tylenol and a printout about fevers.

100 degrees? Seriously? Christ on a cracker, my temperature hits 100 degrees nearly every night! As far as I know it hasn't brained my damage yet ;)
