than the Dreaded Hand Tissue?
Hand Goo.
We get contracted patients from nursing homes whose hands have not been opened in DECADES. I made the mistake of trying once...with an ungloved finger. My finger came out covered with stinky, viscous, slimy goo. I gagged.
It's LOL paste! (Brought to you by the makers of "LOL flakes!")

OH Jeez! Never stick your fingers in places like that you never know what you may find. BLECH!
I hope when you "gagged" it wasn't the Hollywood starlet kind. You know, where you put your finger in your mouth to stimulate your gag reflex. Or, at least, that you did that with your other hand. Maybe what you found in there was from the last person who gagged, but their response was a bit more liquid. Yum! :-)
That is akin to sticking your hands under an obese patient's breasts without gloves.
why do we do this job?!!!!
For the glamor, the praise, and the working conditions?
I do it for the money. How else do you think that I could afford my mansion on the coast and the summer house in Mexico?
I was gagging at the post, but, ERP's comment really made me retch.
You have contracted patients? IS THERE A CURE?
ERP: Everyone loves a little sub-mammarian schmegma. It's almost as appetizing as tracheostomy lung-butter.
Thanks! I couldn't touch the hands of any of my geri-patients last night...all thanks to you!
