This is extreeeeeeeemly cool.
Apparently the cyst was caused by tapeworm larvae. And the brain is just one place it could go--but probably the worst. I love how it plops into the pan. And then the doctor says, "Big one, eh?"

OMG, it looks like giving birth!
I did my First Assist case study on this. Neurucysticerosis. The patient history is usually someone who has recently (in the last 2-4 years) been to Mexico (or possibly another country with poor sanitation)and may have eaten undercooked pork there. Although I believe it may also be present in the soil? This patient was in their late teens and presented with a first time siezure, NV, and HA times 1 week. CT was positive for left frontal brain mass.
Patient had a full recovery and it was a pretty cool case to assist on!
